(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 31, Quynh Long Commune Police (Quynh Luu) said that at An Thai Pagoda in the commune, a thief had just broken into the donation box to steal donation money.
Accordingly, at around 9:30 a.m. on January 31, some Buddhists who came to the temple to donate discovered that the drawer under the altar had been broken into. After checking, it was discovered that the donation box had been stolen.

Checking around the temple area, Buddhists discovered that the donation box had been thrown by a thief behind the temple's sanctuary, and all the money in the box had disappeared.
Venerable Thich Minh Hai - Abbot of An Thai Pagoda said: The stolen money was donated by the people and visitors to help build the pagoda. It is still unclear how much money was stolen.
Authorities are currently investigating the theft at the temple.
