On the morning of September 9, Ms. Thai Nga - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank, representatives of BAC A BANK, TH Group and the Fund for Vietnamese Stature came to present 4 ventilators to the Nghe An Health sector to serve the work of medical examination, treatment and care of patients.Covid-19This is also an activity in a series of activities to donate 34 ventilators worth nearly 14 billion VND to the Ministry of Health to accompany the health sector in fighting the epidemic by Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank, TH Group and For Vietnamese Stature Fund.

The whole province currently has only about 500 ventilators, of which only 150 are advanced ventilators. Also this morning, Nghe An Department of Health held a meeting with Nghe An Field Hospitals 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Center for Tropical Diseases, Nghe An General Friendship Hospital and Nghe An Oncology Hospital (the unit assigned to build Field Hospital No. 6).

At the meeting, field hospitals and the Tropical Disease Center reported on the treatment of Covid-19 patients. The Oncology Hospital reported on the progress of construction of Field Hospital No. 6; Nghe An General Hospital reported on the progress of construction of the Emergency Center for Covid-19 patient treatment at Facility 2 with a scale of 1,000 beds (including 50-100 emergency beds). The Department of Health gave opinions and resolved related problems.

Since April 27, Nghe An province has recorded 1,772 Covid-19 patients in 21 localities. The cumulative number of patients who have recovered, been discharged from hospital, or transferred to higher levels is 863. The cumulative number of patients who have died is 06. The number of patients currently being treated is 903 (of which 15 are currently in serious condition, 01 must use ECMO). The 6 patients who died include 01 over 90 years old, 01 over 80 years old, and 4 under 60 years old. All patients had 3-4 underlying diseases and required ventilators.

Concluding the meeting, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh praised and highly appreciated the medical staff at the facilities treating Covid-19 patients for their great efforts, promoting their expertise, constantly overcoming difficulties to excellently complete their tasks, and saving the lives of many patients.
