Domestic pepper prices were updated at 4:00 a.m. on August 10, 2024, ranging from 140,000 - 141,000 VND/kg, a sharp increase of 2,300 to 5,000 VND/kg in some provinces compared to yesterday.

The highest purchase price in Dak Nong, Vung Tau and Dong Nai provinces is 141,000 VND/kg.

Accordingly, in Dak Nong province, pepper price today is purchased at 141,000 VND/kg. A sharp increase of 5,000 VND/kg compared to the same time yesterday, the highest increase in the country.

The latest update from the International Pepper Community (IPC) shows that Indonesian pepper prices increased by 1.27%. Vietnam maintained the price of 500g/l black pepper at $6,000/ton and 550g/l at $6,600/ton, along with white pepper prices remaining stable at $8,800/ton.

Farmers in Espirito Santos, Brazil, predict a 25-30% drop in pepper production due to harsh weather conditions. Overall, the country's 2024 output could drop 20-25% compared to 2023.

The Vietnam Import-Export Department emphasized that the shortage of supply could bring price benefits to the Vietnamese pepper market. This is also an opportunity for Vietnam to expand its market share and consolidate its position in key markets such as the United States, China and Europe.

Coffee prices today, August 10, slightly decreased by 500 VND/kg, ranging from 121,600 - 122,300 VND/kg.

The current average price is around 122,200 VND/kg in the Central Highlands provinces, the highest purchase price in Dak Nong and Dak Lak provinces is 122,300 VND/kg.

The price of green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Di Linh, Lam Ha, Bao Loc, coffee today is purchased at 121,600 VND/kg.

In Gia Lai (Chu Prong) and Kon Tum provinces, coffee prices today are at 122,100 VND/kg, in Pleiku and La Grai the same price is 122,000 VND/kg.
