September 21, 1967:Journalist and photographer Dinh Thuy died at the Trang Dau front (now in Tay Ninh province). His real name was Bui Dinh Tuy, born in 1914, from Canh Duong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province.
September 21, 1976:The World Bank recognized the Socialist Republic of Vietnam as an official member. The World Bank (abbreviated as WB) was established in July 1944 but officially operated from June 25, 1946.
