Nghe An: 100% of serious and especially serious cases are investigated and clarified

During the investigation, reports from the Public Security, People's Court, People's Procuracy and the Provincial Civil Judgment Enforcement Department all showed the efforts of all levels and sectors in containing and preventing "hot spots" in security and order.
Notably, crime prevention has been more effective, contributing to limiting the causes and conditions for crime. In the first 6 months of 2018, crimes against social order, robbery, property theft, intentional injury, human trafficking, child trafficking, etc., all decreased compared to the same period in 2017.
The rate of investigation and discovery of cases violating social order reached 83.8%, of which 100% of very serious, especially serious, and complicated cases occurring in the area were investigated and clarified.

However, Nghe An is a large province, the crime and law violation situation is complicated and some issues need attention.
According to Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Nguyen Manh Hung, some crimes have increased such as drug crimes, murder, resisting law enforcement officers, etc.; some violations of the law still occur frequently, especially violations of the law in the field of illegal mining, violations of food safety regulations, violations of traffic safety regulations, encroachment on traffic safety corridors, etc.
Director of the Civil Judgment Enforcement Department Hoang Thi Thu Trang admitted that the results of judgment enforcement in cases related to gambling, credit and banking crimes are still low and requested all levels and sectors to strengthen coordination to ensure effective judgment enforcement, demonstrating the strictness of the law.
At the inspection, members of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee basically agreed with the reports submitted by the units, and at the same time recommended clarifying a number of issues related to the rate of recidivists serving suspended sentences; paying attention to perfecting and consolidating the communal police force in conjunction with equipping means and facilities, contributing to the work of preventing and combating crime right from the grassroots level...
Concluding the review, Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee Phan Duc Dong highly appreciated the initiative of each sector as well as the coordination of sectors in the internal affairs sector in the fight against, prevention and handling of crimes and violations of the law in the province.
Pointing out some limitations and weaknesses, the Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee emphasized the need for internal affairs sectors to strengthen forecasting, promptly grasp and quickly handle information on violations of security and order, environment, tax evasion, and corruption; at the same time, overcome the slow situation in resolving and handling crime reports.

The Head of the Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council hopes that the sectors need to proactively implement internal affairs tasks according to the province's plan and that of each sector, along with promoting better coordination between sectors; paying attention to building and consolidating the core force of security and order in the area, contributing to ensuring good security and order, social order and safety in the province.
Also this morning, the Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council reviewed the draft resolution on supporting funding for training and improving trial skills for People's Jurors; mobile trials and support regimes for People's Jurors in the province.
