Nghe An: 162 cases of alcohol concentration violations were punished in 12 days
(Baonghean.vn) - From January 1 to 12, 2020, the Traffic Police force in Nghe An province penalized 162 cases of alcohol concentration violations, collecting fines of VND 841,000,000.
According to statistics from the Traffic Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police, after 12 days of handling violations of alcohol concentration according to Decree No. 100/2019/ND-CP in the province, the Traffic Police force has penalized 162 cases, including 32 cars and 130 motorbikes.

Specifically, the violations: Not exceeding 0.25 milligrams/1 liter of breath were 21 car drivers, 107 motorbike drivers; Exceeding 0.25 milligrams to 0.4 milligrams/1 liter of breath were 5 car drivers, 10 motorbike drivers; Exceeding 0.4 milligrams/1 liter of breath were 5 car drivers, 11 motorbike drivers; Not complying with the request to check alcohol concentration was 1 car driver, 2 motorbike drivers.
Accordingly, the total fine for alcohol concentration violations in the first 12 days of the campaign is 841,000,000 VND.
Thus, as of January 12, in Nghe An province, there have been no cases of bicycles or rudimentary vehicles being fined for violating alcohol concentration.

The leader of the Provincial Police Traffic Police Department said that regarding the handling of cases of alcohol concentration violations according to Decree 100/2019/ND-CP, currently the Traffic Police forces of units and localities in the whole province are very seriously and strictly implementing the regulations and anyone who violates will be handled.
In cases where traffic participants run away, intentionally do not comply with requests or have acts of resistance to traffic police when being tested for alcohol concentration, they will be punished at the highest level for this behavior.
