According to statistics from the Traffic Police Department (Nghe An Police), during the 9-day Lunar New Year holiday, from January 29, 2022 to February 6, 2022 (ie from December 27 to January 6, 2022 lunar calendar), including the weekends of the 2 weeks before and after Tet, there was 1 road traffic accident in the area, killing 1 person and injuring 2 people. Compared to the same period in 2021, the number of cases decreased by 3 cases, the number of deaths decreased by 2 people, the number of injuries decreased by 1 person.

The Traffic Police force organized 529 patrols and inspections, with 2,413 officers participating. Thereby, 249 cases of traffic safety and order were detected and administrative records were drawn up. Of these, 51 cases were car drivers, 192 cases were motorbike drivers, and 4 cases were other vehicles.
Decided to fine 206 cases, transferred to the State Treasury to collect fines of 302,300,000 VND, revoked driving licenses of 28 cases, and temporarily detained 23 motorbikes.
