Born and raised in Nghia Dong commune (Tan Ky), Trinh Thi Viet Anh (born in 1994) had a difficult childhood. When she was only 5 years old, due to a family incident, her father had to go far away, leaving her mother alone at home to raise 3 young children. At that time, Viet Anh's mother worked all the time, leaving her alone at home to look after her 2 younger siblings. Then her father and mother remarried, making life even more difficult...

Thanks to her determination, Viet Anh also overcame the hardships and difficulties of her childhood to pass the entrance exam to the University of Agriculture 1, majoring in Post-Harvest Technology - Faculty of Food Technology. Knowing that her family was poor, during her days studying in Hanoi, she only asked her father for 500,000 VND to pay for rent. With that amount of money, Viet Anh could only pay for the room, electricity and water, so she had to find a part-time job to support herself.

Viet Anh came to volunteering by chance, when she learned about Buddhism. For her, volunteering or doing anything comes from the heart, putting the heart above all else. Initially, she participated in activities giving gifts to the homeless with some volunteer clubs in Hanoi, the exam support program, and donating blood...

Viet Anh shared: "After each trip, seeing difficult situations, I have more motivation to strive." Also from his own experience, Viet Anh has called for charity support. Since graduating, Viet Anh has called for philanthropists to support more than 30 difficult situations, each situation from 3-5 million VND, the situation that received the most was over 20 million VND.

Most recently, Viet Anh called on philanthropists to support a difficult situation in Tan Dong hamlet, Dong Van commune (Tan Ky). That is Ms. Ha Thi Nam who has acute kidney failure, her poor family has no money for medical treatment, and also has to raise her daughter, Ha Thi Phuong Thao, who is currently an 8th grade student at Dong Van Secondary School, Tan Ky. In this appeal, Viet Anh received more than 10 million and gave it to Ms. Nam's family.

Viet Anh told about the most memorable memory that a week ago, Viet Anh went to Vinh market, entered the market gate and met a woman carrying a child begging. She asked about the story and followed the woman from Vinh to Nam Dan to see the family situation with her own eyes. The place she arrived at was a small house, with a dirt floor, a roof covered with fibro cement sheets, inside the house there were only 2 beds and 1 TV.

In the hot summer weather, the baby lay gasping for breath on the bed. The baby's name is Nguyen Thi Hong Ngoc (born in 2010), living in Xuan Khoa block, Nam Dan town. It is known that Ngoc was born healthy but when she was 1.5 years old, she suffered from spinal muscular atrophy and her family could not afford to treat her. Although she was 6 years old, her body was shrunken, she could not eat and only drank milk. When Viet Anh wrote the post on Facebook, Ngoc's family received 21,500,000 VND from benefactors. She happily handed it to Ngoc's family under the witness of local authorities.

Having just graduated from university, currently working part-time and looking for a job in her major.
