(Baonghean.vn) - Authorities had to escort three young women to quarantine at Nghe An General Hospital for the second time because of their uncooperative attitude.

On the afternoon of July 31, the authorities dispatched a car to escort three young women who were temporarily residing in Nghi Phu commune to quarantine at Nghe An General Hospital according to regulations. All three young women are 19 years old and live in the same rented room in Nghi Phu commune.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Long - Director of Vinh City Medical Center, these young women had just returned from Da Nang, had an uncooperative attitude with the authorities, and had inconsistent medical declarations.

On the morning of July 30, 1 of the 3 young women came to the Tropical Disease Center (Nghe An General Hospital), declaring that she had returned from Da Nang since July 8. For the past 8 consecutive days, she had symptoms such as cough, shortness of breath, fever... However, after examination and taking medical statements, the results showed that this person had no unusual symptoms, so the doctors here recommended that she go home and self-isolate.

On the morning of July 31, this young woman and her two roommates went to Nghi Phu Commune Health Station, once again made a similar declaration and requested to have their samples taken for testing. The health agency immediately sprayed disinfectants and sterilized the place where all three people were staying. Nghe An Center for Disease Control then went directly to the Health Station to take samples for testing of all three people, and at the same time dispatched an ambulance to take them to the Tropical Disease Center (Nghe An General Hospital).

According to the leader of Vinh City Medical Center, after taking samples, the young women expressed their unwillingness to be quarantined. The leader of Vinh City Medical Center had to directly call and persuade them, even threatening that "if they do not quarantine according to regulations, they will be held criminally responsible if they spread the disease". After listening to the urging of medical staff and "calling to ask for the boss's opinion", all 3 agreed to get in the car to the hospital for quarantine.

However, after arriving at the Tropical Disease Center and completing the admission procedures, all three left. "These children were examined by doctors and still had no fever or any unusual symptoms. So they were asked to be isolated and not receive any medical intervention," said Dr. Que Anh Tram, Director of the Tropical Disease Center.

"After listening to the doctor's explanation, these young women immediately showed their attitude. They said that they would only go home if they did nothing but quarantine, and then all three of them immediately left, much to the doctors' surprise," said Mr. Tram, adding that, up to now, the doctors have not recorded any unusual symptoms from the young women as stated.

At this time, the doctors immediately called Vinh City Medical Center to report. Immediately after that, Vinh City had to mobilize functional forces to the motel to escort all 3 back.

"These children want to be tested for nCoV but do not want to be quarantined according to regulations. There are so many people returning from Da Nang now, it is impossible to test everyone. Only those with symptoms will be tested. If they have symptoms, after taking samples, they must be quarantined according to regulations," said the leader of Vinh City Medical Center.
