Nghe An issues criteria for direct admission to grade 10 students with international certificates
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An Department of Education and Training has just issued detailed instructions on enrollment for students with international language certificates to grade 10 in the 2020-2021 school year.
Previously, the Provincial People's Committee decided to add enrollment quotas for grade 10 in the 2020-2021 school year for Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted with a maximum of 35 students and Huynh Thuc Khang High School with a maximum of 42 students for students with international foreign language certificates.
Specifically, students eligible to apply for admission must be students who have graduated from secondary school, have good academic performance or higher, and have good conduct.

Candidates applying to Huynh Thuc Khang High School must have an IELTS Academic certificate of 4.0 or higher or other international English certificates equivalent to an IELTS Academic certificate of 4.0 or higher. The English certificates must be valid and issued before August 4, 2020. (There is a reference table for converting scores between some international English proficiency certificates attached to the Official Dispatch).
Regarding the admission principles, to ensure accuracy, fairness and objectivity, admission is based on the results of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2020-2021 school year and international English certificate scores.
In case there are many candidates with the same score when reaching the last quota, the following criteria will be considered in order of priority: Total score of 3 subjects Math, Literature, English in the entrance exam for grade 10 high school in the 2020-2021 school year; English score in the entrance exam for grade 10 high school in the 2020-2021 school year; average score of English for the whole year of grade 9; results of participation in English competitions organized by the Ministry of Education and Training and the Department of Education and Training in the 2019-2020 school year.
According to the plan, the application submission period will start from August 4, 2020 to 5:00 p.m. on August 11, 2020 and candidates will submit their applications at the school they registered for.
