Nghe An: Officials and civil servants return to work at the office from April 17

(Baonghean.vn) - Officials, civil servants, public employees and workers in state agencies in Nghe An province will return to work as usual from April 17, 2020, but must strictly implement disease prevention and control measures at the workplace.

On the morning of April 16, the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control held a meeting to discuss continuing to carry out urgent tasks of Covid-19 prevention and control during the peak period.

Also attending were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province; Major General Nguyen Huu Cau - Director of the Provincial Police Department; Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Ha - Commander of the Provincial Military Command; and leaders of a number of departments and branches who are members of the Steering Committee.

At the meeting, members of the Provincial Steering Committee discussed the implementation of the conclusions of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at the Government Standing Committee meeting on Covid-19 prevention and control on April 15, such as: Time of social distancing; time for officials and civil servants to return to work; list of industries, occupations and fields allowed to operate; as well as the responsibilities of departments, branches, units and localities in the implementation process;...

After listening to the opinions of the Steering Committee members, Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control concluded the contents to continue implementing urgent measures to prevent and control Covid-19.

In particular, emphasizing that Nghe An is in the group of localities at risk, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested directors of departments, heads of departments, branches, and provincial-level units; Chairmen of People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities to strictly implement the Prime Minister's direction to combine the implementation of Directive 15 and Directive 16 until April 22 and the tasks and solutions of the Provincial People's Committee in the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic, including the urgent telegram of the Provincial People's Committee expected to be issued this afternoon (April 16).

The urgent telegram will detail the requirements for implementation during the period of social distancing until April 22 for agencies, organizations, units, people, production activities, service businesses, transportation activities, etc.; as well as the tasks of relevant departments, branches and sectors.

At the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee agreed that cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in State agencies in the province will start working normally from April 17, 2020, but must strictly implement measures to prevent and control the epidemic at the workplace; the armed forces must strictly follow the direction of the vertical sector.

Previously, on March 31, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 1956/UBND-TH on the implementation of Directive No. 16/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister.

Including the requirement: Heads of agencies and units, based on their functions and tasks, are responsible for developing plans to arrange for people to work directly at the agency; in other cases, implement plans to work online at home.
