Nghe An: Industrial production index increased by more than 25%

Industrial production indexStrong growth was concentrated in a number of important sectors and fields, including: processing and manufacturing industry increased by 26%; mining industry increased by nearly 22%; production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning increased by 21.47%; water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment activities increased by 0.8% over the same period.

Industrial production value in June 2021 is estimated at VND 41,590 billion, up 21% over the same period in 2020, reaching 52.4% of the plan.

Main productsEstimated increase over the same period: Construction stone exploitation 2,081 thousand m³, up 72.55%; Hoa Sen steel sheets of all kinds 524,519 tons, up 67%; cement 4,547 thousand tons, up 35.25%; NPK fertilizer 26.8 million tons, up 25%; fibers of all kinds 5,595 tons, up 22.51%; processed milk 153 million liters, up 16.84%; beer of all kinds (cans, bottles) 58.4 million liters, up 11.71%; commercial electricity 1,935 million kWh, up 9.20%; electricity production 1,198 million kWh, up 23.5%,... Some products decreased compared to the same period: Refined tin 65 tons, down 36.51%; diameter 76,606 tons, down 21.56%.

In 2021, Nghe An sets a target of industrial production value to reach79,271 billion VND. To complete the set targets, the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Industry and Trade are continuing to review, evaluate, and direct the implementation of the economic growth scenario for 2021; advising on the promulgation, amendment, and supplementation of policies and plans; implementing programs and projects to implement the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress. Grasping, promptly advising, and removing difficulties and obstacles for investors and enterprises to develop production and business.

At the same time, urge to speed up the progress of electricity infrastructure projects, trade, industrial clusters, create conditions for production facilities to promote capacity, operate effectively, contributing to the completion of the 2021 plan targets.

In addition to guiding and inspecting industrial enterprises in the province to implement Covid-19 prevention and control work, the industry has also completed the activation of the Covid-19 Safe Living Map for industrial enterprises in the area.
