Nghe An selects 6 localities to organize 'spot' National Day for National Security Protection in 2023

Accordingly, to prepare well for the implementation of the National Day for National Security Protection in 6 localities selected to organize "points" including: Nghi Thu Ward (Cua Lo Town); Ha Huy Tap Ward (Vinh City), Quang Tien Ward (Thai Hoa Town), Kim Lien Commune (Nam Dan District); Dien Hung Commune (Dien Chau) and Nghia Hoan Commune (Tan Ky), Nghe An Provincial People's Committee requests:

* Provincial Police: Preside over and coordinate with relevant units and localities to prepare contents and conditions to well serve the organization of the "spot" National Day for National Security Protection in Nghi Thu ward (Cua Lo town) and the selected localities mentioned above. Guide the above localities to well organize the "National Day for National Security Protection" according to Plan No. 178/KH-BCĐ dated April 5, 2023 of the Central Steering Committee and Plan No. 221/KH-UBND dated March 31, 2023 of the Provincial People's Committee.

- Direct the Cua Lo Town Police to organize legal propaganda and education, create strong changes in awareness and responsibility, raise vigilance, sense of law observance and actively fight and denounce crimes of the people, contributing to building a strong movement of the whole people to protect national security; organize the issuance of citizen identification cards and guide the activation of electronic identification accounts in Nghi Thu ward.

- Direct the People's Committee of Nghi Thu Ward to prepare well the contents and conditions for organizing the "point" Festival for National Security Protection; at the same time, direct departments, offices and functional units to prepare the contents and conditions and ensure security and order to serve the organization of the activities of the "point" Festival with the highest quality and efficiency.

- Direct the Town General Hospital, the Youth Union and the Women's Union of Cua Lo Town to carry out medical examinations, provide free medicine, and help poor and near-poor households in Nghi Thu Ward on August 9 and 10, 2023.

On June 13, 2005, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 521/QD-TTg to designate August 19 every year as the “National Day for National Security Protection”. The National Day for National Security Protection on August 19, along with the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security Force, not only honors the great role of the people in the cause of protecting the security and order of the Fatherland, but also demonstrates the tradition of solidarity and attachment between the Public Security Force and the people.
