Nghe An prepares for Spring 2017 investor meeting

(Baonghean.vn) -Afternoon of December 21, comradeLe Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting with departments and branches. Attending the meeting were representatives of the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam, Nghe An branch (BIDV).

Overview of the meeting.

Based on the evaluation of the results of 8 years of organizing the Spring Meeting with Investors, representatives of departments and branches proposed solutions to advise the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Party Committee to organize the 9th conference. The proposed time is after the full moon of January (lunar calendar).

The conference aims to honor investors who have made many achievements and contributions to Nghe An in recent years, and at the same time attract more businesses to invest in the province. This year, BIDV Bank continues to accompany Nghe An province to organize the "Conference to Meet Investors in Spring Dinh Dau 2017".

Mr. Trung Thanh Cong - Deputy Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee evaluated the experience of organizing Meetings with investors over the past 8 years.

From 2009 to present, through investment promotion conferences, Nghe An province has attracted 663 projects with a total registered investment capital of VND 229,945 billion;

Particularly through the meetings with investors in early spring, 29 projects/24,077 billion VND were attracted and 55 investment cooperation agreements/129,039 billion VND were signed. In 2016, the province's investment promotion activities achieved many achievements by attracting many foreign partners.

Comrade Le Ngoc Hoa assigned the Departments and branches to review the tasks to advise the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Party Committee to successfully organize the "2017 Spring Investor Meeting".

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Hoa summarized the opinions and proposals and assigned tasks to the Departments and branches based on their functions and tasks to develop specific plans by field to submit to the Provincial People's Committee. The focal point for synthesis was assigned to the Center for Enterprise Support and Investment Promotion under the Department of Planning and Investment. From now until before the conference, the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies will review, urge, and connect with ministries, branches and domestic and foreign enterprises to ensure the success of the conference.
