Nghe An has 41 prisoners eligible for special amnesty on the occasion of April 30.
After many meetings and reviews, the Steering Committee for Amnesty of Nghe An Provincial Police has made a list of proposed amnesty for prisoners.
Implementing Decision No. 266 dated March 3, 2025 of the President on amnesty in 2025, the leaders of Nghe An Police have issued a plan, directed relevant units to publicly post and notify the content of this document to 100% of prisoners serving their sentences at the Detention Center. At the same time, established the Provincial Police Amnesty Steering Committee to comprehensively review and carefully consider each file in an objective and strict manner, ensuring fairness, objectivity, transparency and compliance with the law.
In addition to doing a good job of advising, the Steering Committee focuses on promoting propaganda work to raise awareness of society, the community and the prisoners themselves about the humane meaning of the amnesty policy; propaganda and education, clearly explaining the rights, criteria and conditions for consideration and enjoyment of amnesty to encourage prisoners to actively reform and soon receive clemency to return to their families and communities.

The Provincial Police's Special Amnesty Steering Committee coordinated with relevant units such as the Provincial Procuracy, People's Court, and the Provincial Civil Judgment Enforcement Department to review and evaluate each file in accordance with the provisions of the law. After many meetings and reviews, the Provincial Police's Special Amnesty Steering Committee made a list of proposed amnesty for 41 prisoners who met the conditions to be considered for amnesty.

On May 1, Nghe An Provincial Police will announce the President's decision on amnesty. With the humane and lenient policies of the Party and State, along with the open arms of love and support from the community, it will be an opportunity for those who are granted amnesty to overcome their complexes and difficulties ahead, determined to rise up and rebuild their lives, becoming useful people for their families and society.
In order to improve the work of reintegrating into the community, the Provincial Police Detention Center has organized guidance and equipped prisoners with basic knowledge and skills; coordinated with local authorities, agencies and businesses in the area to implement preferential loan support policies to create conditions for pardoned people to have the opportunity to find jobs and strive to become useful citizens for society.
