(Baonghean.vn) - A report from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development shows that: Currently, in the province, there are 13 resettlement projects under construction with a total capital of 124 billion 496 million VND/752 billion 767 million VND (approved capital).

According to the Summary Report on the assessment of the results of the implementation of the population relocation program under Decision 1776/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister for the period 2013 - 2018, Nghe An has had 7 completed population relocation projects, 13 projects with allocated capital are being implemented. In addition, there are 4 projects that have been approved but have not been implemented.

Projects for emergency resettlement in natural disaster and landslide areas; projects for resettlement of residents in border areas and projects for resettlement of residents in extremely difficult areas.

It is worrying that currently in the province there are 13 projects to relocate people in disaster areas that are being implemented unfinished in 11 districts, cities and towns, most of which are in the infrastructure investment phase and have not yet arranged resettlement.

In Vinh city, there is a project located in Hung Hoa commune with a scale of 58 households, currently investing in infrastructure, not yet implementing resettlement arrangements. In Hung Nguyen district, there is a project in Hung Lam commune with a scale of 100 households, currently investing in infrastructure, not yet implementing resettlement arrangements.

Que Phong district has 2 projects, of which 1 project is in Quang Phong commune with a scale of 115 households, currently has arranged resettlement for 10 households, the remaining project is in Tri Le commune with a scale of 145 households, is investing in infrastructure, has not yet implemented resettlement arrangement.

Con Cuong district has 2 projects, of which 1 project is in Binh Chuan commune, the other project is in Lang Khe commune.

Quynh Luu district has 1 project in Quynh Chau commune with a scale of 175 households; Hoang Mai town has 1 project in Quynh Trang commune with a scale of 113 households; Yen Thanh district has a project in Hung Thanh commune with a scale of 45 households.

Thanh Chuong district has a project to build model fishing village settlements on Lam river (Thanh Thuy commune).

Quy Chau district has a project to relocate residents in disaster areas and extremely difficult areas in Chau Hoi commune.

Quy Hop district has 2 projects and Tuong Duong has 1 project to urgently relocate 34 households out of the landslide risk area in Luong Minh commune.

All these projects are under construction.

The synthesis of the whole province up to the end of 2019 shows: The total number of households living in areas at risk of being affected (landslides, floods, tornadoes...) that need to be arranged: 8,415 households with 36,585 people; distributed in 142 communes, wards and towns in 19 districts, cities and towns.

(Baonghean.vn) - On May 7, 2010, the "Fishing Village Resettlement Project" in Khe Mu, Thanh Thuy Commune and in Trieu Duong, Thanh Lam Commune (Thanh Chuong) was started with a total adjusted capital of 83 billion VND, implemented by Dai Cat Thanh Joint Stock Company (Hanoi). It has been more than 7 years but still not completed.
