(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 761/QD.UBND approving the enrollment plan for grade 10 high school in Nghe An province for the 2017-2018 school year.

Accordingly, this year, the 10th grade entrance exam will only recruit students with permanent residence in Nghe An province. Students from other localities who want to take the exam must have the approval of the Nghe An Department of Education and Training.

In the 2017-2018 school year, the admission method is not much different from previous years. In particular, entrance exams will be held for schools with the number of students registering for NV1 exceeding the quota.

In addition, the industry will also organize admission exams for 5 schools in mountainous areas: Ky Son, Con Cuong, Tuong Duong, Que Phong, Quy Chau and schools with the number of students registering for NV1 not exceeding the school's quota.

Regarding the exam subjects, candidates will take 3 subjects. Of which, Literature and Mathematics will be written in the form of essays with a duration of 120 minutes and will be scored according to a coefficient of 2. The remaining exam subjects will be announced at the earliest 15 days before the end of the 2016-2017 school year and will only be scored according to a coefficient of 1. The entrance exam for grade 10 will be held on 6 and 7 June 2016.

Also according to this Decision, the Provincial People's Committee has announced the enrollment quota for ethnic minority high schools. Accordingly, this year, Ethnic Minority High School 1 has 180 quotas (6 grade 10 classes) and Ethnic Minority High School 2 has 150 quotas (5 grade 10 classes). Students who are eligible for enrollment are ethnic minorities with permanent residence or have been settled for 3 years or more in areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions according to current regulations.

In addition, each school is not allowed to recruit more than 5% of Kinh children with permanent residence or who have settled for 3 years or more in areas with especially difficult socio-economic conditions.

Students who are eligible for admission and wish to study at Ethnic Minority High School must take the 10th grade entrance exam to get the score as a basis for admission to the school.

Thus, this year's 10th grade entrance exam, the time and method of admission have not changed much compared to last year. The biggest concern of candidates today is the third exam subject. In previous years, Foreign Language was often the subject chosen by the Department of Education and Training./.
