Nghe An announced the decision to inspect 53 sand and gravel mining enterprises.
The interdisciplinary delegation inspecting the law compliance of 53 sand and gravel mining enterprises has just announced Decision No. 1098/QD-UBND dated April 18, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman, and at the same time disseminated the purpose, requirements, and content of the inspection to the inspected organizations.
The announcement of Decision No. 1098/QD-UBND dated April 18, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman establishing an interdisciplinary delegation to inspect the law compliance of53 sand and gravel mining enterprisesin the province was held on the morning of April 29.

Participants include the Head and members of the Inspection Team according to Decision No. 1098/QD-UBND; legal representatives of organizations that are inspected according to Decision No. 1098/QD-UBND; representatives of leaders of districts and towns with inspected subjects.
Along with the announcement of Decision No. 1098/QD-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman, the Interdisciplinary Inspection Team disseminated the purpose, requirements, and content of the inspection to the inspected organizations; the tasks and powers of the Head of the Team and the members of the Team; the rights and obligations of the inspected subjects. At the same time, the content, program, and working schedule were agreed upon with the organizations that were inspected.
According to the announced inspection outline, the Interdisciplinary Team will inspect the compliance with laws on minerals, land, environment, mine design, labor safety, use of industrial explosives, financial obligations, taxes and other relevant laws of the organizations subject to inspection, from January 1, 2020 to present.

Notably, during the implementation of the task, the Interdisciplinary Team will inspect the registration of names, types of vehicles and equipment used for sand and gravel exploitation and transportation by sand and gravel exploitation organizations; the installation of journey monitoring equipment and storage of data and information on the location and travel itinerary of vehicles and equipment used for sand and gravel exploitation and transportation; the installation and operation of weighing stations and cameras to monitor the volume of sand and gravel bought and sold at the yards; and the implementation of books and documents at sand and gravel trading yards.
At the same time, it will inspect the implementation of environmental restoration deposits in mineral activities; fulfill tax obligations including mineral exploitation rights fees, resource taxes, environmental protection fees, land rents, VAT, corporate income tax, industrial wastewater fees, etc.; fulfill obligations and responsibilities to localities and people living near the mine area.

As reported by Nghe An Electronic Newspaper on April 23, 2025 in the article "Nghe An establishes an interdisciplinary inspection team to inspect the law compliance of 53 sand and gravel mining enterprises", the interdisciplinary inspection team has the participation of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Department of Construction, Economic Police Department of the Provincial Police; representatives of the District People's Committee and the Commune People's Committee where the inspected subjects are located.
Mr. Le Quang Huy - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment was assigned by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to be the Head of the delegation. The interdisciplinary inspection delegation will carry out its tasks within 90 days from the date of announcement of Decision No. 1098/QD-UBND.
