Nghe An: Announcement of the decision to establish the Investment Promotion and Support Center

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 6, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a ceremony to announce the Decision to establish the Nghe An Provincial Investment Promotion and Support Center.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

On December 16, 2016, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 2465/QD-TTg on the establishment of the Nghe An Investment Promotion and Support Center. Accordingly, the Nghe An Investment Promotion and Support Center (Nghe An IPC) was established on the basis of reorganizing the Investment Promotion and Development Consulting Center under the Department of Planning and Investment.

Nghe An Provincial Investment Promotion and Support Center (Nghe An IPC) under the People's Committee of Nghe An province is a public service unit that partially self-insures regular expenses, has legal status, its own seal, and is allowed to open accounts at the State Treasury and banks to operate in accordance with the provisions of law.

The Center's headquarters is located at: No. 3, Truong Thi Street, Vinh City, Nghe An Province.

The Center is responsible for advising and assisting the Provincial People's Committee in implementing investment promotion programs in the province; supporting, consulting and coordinating to create favorable conditions for investment procedures to contribute to attracting domestic and foreign investors to invest in the province.

This will be the focal point, advising the Provincial People's Committee to organize investment promotion activities, attract domestic and foreign investment into the province; support investors throughout the operation process.

In addition, the Investment Promotion and Support Center is also the focal point for guiding and receiving and transferring to competent authorities to handle administrative procedures in the investment field according to the one-stop mechanism; Monitoring, inspecting and urging the implementation of investment promotion and support tasks.

The establishment of the center will create a breakthrough in administrative reform, aiming at the goal of building an e-government, deploying online public services, and is a solution to implement Resolution 35 of the Government on supporting businesses; contributing to promoting investment promotion activities, exploiting the potential advantages of the province, successfully implementing the Resolution of the 18th Provincial Party Congress and Resolution 26 of the Politburo.

Regarding the Center's personnel, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee decided to assign comrade Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to be in charge of and operate the Nghe An Provincial Investment Promotion and Support Center.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province has issued a Decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Nguyen Van Nam - Director of the Center for Investment Promotion and Development Consulting under the Department of Planning and Investment and Mr. Nguyen Van Hai - Head of Business Registration Office - Department of Planning and Investment to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Center for Investment Promotion and Support of Nghe An province.
