Nghe An requests Military Region 4 to support forces in overcoming consequences of floods
(Baonghean.vn) - On November 1, the Provincial People's Committee issued Document No. 7598/UBND-NC to the Military Region 4 Command, requesting support for forces to help people overcome the consequences caused by floods in Nghe An province.
Heavy rains flooded 94 hamlets; 27 hamlets were isolated; 14,511 houses were flooded and a number of households had to be evacuated due tofloodand landslide affected 4,447 households.

According to a quick report from the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns, as of 12:00 on November 1, 2020, the whole province had 05 deaths; 02 missing people and 03 injured people. There were 6 collapsed houses, 84 partially damaged houses, 803 houses affected by landslides. In addition, 18 schools were affected by flooding, 12 classrooms were damaged...

In particular, after floods, there is a risk of disease, environment, traffic disruption...
Immediately after the flood receded, the province mobilized more than 8,000 military officers, soldiers, police, border guards and local forces to help people overcome the natural disaster. However, Nghe An had many flooded areas, forces and means were dispersed in many places, and people in Do Luong, Thanh Chuong and Hung Nguyen districts were isolated in many areas. Although the province mobilized maximum forces and means, there were still some localities facing difficulties in terms of forces, unable to meet the needs of overcoming the consequences of the flood.
Faced with that situation, on November 1, the Provincial People's Committee issued Document No. 7598/UBND-NC toMilitary Region Command4 requests for support forces to help people overcome the consequences caused by floods in Nghe An province.
