Nghe An: Proposal for emergency support of 280.15 billion VND to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 and floods

To promptly overcome the consequences of tropical depression, storms and floods from July 13 to 22, 2018, in order to stabilize the lives, production and living conditions of the people in the area, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee issued Document No. 5673/TTr-UBND dated August 2, 2018, requesting the Prime Minister, the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, the Ministries of Agriculture and Rural Development, Planning and Investment, Finance and related ministries and branches to provide emergency support to the locality.

Accordingly, Nghe An proposed to support the following amount of medicine and chemicals: 500kg of alum; 700kg of CloraminB powder; 10,000 Aquatabs disinfectant tablets; 500 liters of Permethrin 50 ec; 10,000 kg of Chlorine; 10,000 lcg of Iodine.

Nghe An province also proposed emergency support of VND 280.15 billion (Two hundred and eighty billion one hundred and fifty million VND), including VND 2.14 billion to support people's livelihood (support for houses that have to be relocated, collapsed, or severely damaged);

68.01 billion VND to support agricultural production recovery. 10 billion VND to build a flood warning system and flood map of Hieu river basin;

200 billion VND to repair essential infrastructure works (schools, traffic works, irrigation works and other infrastructure works).
