Nghe An: The first point to pay the first phase of the 62,000 billion VND social security package
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of May 4, at the Cultural Post Office of Nghi Thuan and Nghi Long communes (Nghi Loc district), Nghi Loc District Post Office paid the first installment of the Government's social security support package of VND 62,000 billion to 328 beneficiaries of preferential policies for people with meritorious services.
These are two payment points that the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Nghe An province has directed to be used as payment points in districts and units in the province.

The payment is made according to Decision No. 1364/QD-UBND dated April 29, 2020 of the People's Committee of Nghe An province. According to this decision, in the first phase, Nghi Loc district has 4,333 people who are enjoying preferential policies for people with meritorious services, mainly war invalids, people enjoying policies such as war invalids; sick soldiers; resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals, with a total amount of 6,499,500,000 VND.
Ms. Tran Thi Anh Tuyet - Vice Chairman of Nghi Loc District People's Committee said: "After receiving Plan No. 226/KH-UBND dated April 29, 2020 of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee on implementing policies to support people facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the District People's Committee quickly directed communes and towns to review the list of beneficiaries of preferential policies for meritorious people, especially to avoid duplicate status.

"At the same time, direct the District Post Office to prepare necessary facilities such as chairs and disinfectants for beneficiaries at the commune cultural post offices. People coming to receive support money will be arranged to sit 1 meter apart and wear masks to prevent epidemics. After this first payment, the district will continue to direct the review and make a list of groups of beneficiaries to receive the next payment" - Ms. Tuyet said.
At the Nghi Long and Nghi Thuan payment points in Nghi Loc district, each beneficiary of the preferential policy for meritorious people received 3 months of support with an amount of 1.5 million VND. Mr. Hoang Van Hue, a 4th-class war invalid in Kim La hamlet, Nghi Long commune, happily said: "Due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, my family as well as the local people have encountered many difficulties. Now that the Government has supported us, the amount of money, although not much, has encouraged my family to overcome this difficulty."
