Nghe An: Adjusting and supplementing the planning for the development of plants, animals and key agricultural products associated with the consumption market
(Baonghean.vn) - Voters recommend that the province pay attention to investing in planning key crop and livestock growing areas linked to the market; investing in roads in sugarcane and tea growing areas.
Regarding this issue, the Provincial People's Committee responded as follows:
* On planning key crop and livestock growing areas linked to the market
In recent years, the Provincial People's Committee has approved plans and projects to develop crops and livestock, such as: Planning for the development of industrial tea, rubber, raw sugarcane, raw cassava, raw passion fruit, safe vegetables; planning for the development of buffalo, cow and pig farming; planning for the development of aquaculture; planning for the development of raw material forests, large timber business forests; project for the development of high-quality rice, safe vegetables, peanut development, Project for restructuring the agricultural sector of Nghe An province towards increasing added value and sustainable development, period 2013 - 2020.

In particular, the Provincial People's Committee has submitted to the Provincial Party Standing Committee for approval the Project on developing key plants and animals, associated with the land management mechanism, creating raw material processing areas to serve domestic consumption and export in Nghe An province until 2020. The Provincial People's Committee has also submitted to the Provincial People's Council for approval the Planning for agricultural production development in Nghe An province until 2020, with a vision to 2030.
Currently, the Provincial People's Committee is assigning the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to develop a Plan for developing key seedlings in Nghe An province and the province's support mechanisms and policies, expected to be completed and submitted to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee for consideration and approval in July 2016.

Thus, in the past time, the Provincial People's Committee has actively directed the development and approval of plans and projects for key plants and animals as well as management and implementation. Thereby, it has oriented the agricultural sector to develop in the right direction, forming commodity production areas, linking production with processing and consumption markets, gradually shifting to production according to increasing added value and sustainable development.

In the coming time, the Provincial People's Committee will continue to direct the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to research, review, and advise the Provincial People's Committee to adjust and supplement development plans for plants, animals, and key agricultural products associated with consumption markets in accordance with the actual situation of each locality, in order to increase value and production efficiency.
* Regarding investment in roads in sugarcane and tea growing areas.
In recent times, the investment in roads in raw material areas has been of interest to the Provincial People's Committee and all levels and sectors, including roads in sugarcane and tea raw material areas. Every year, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has proposed and coordinated with the Department of Planning and Investment to synthesize and submit to the Provincial People's Committee to include in the basic construction investment plan investment projects in building roads for raw material areas.

Currently, the policy of investing in roads for raw material areas is being implemented according to Decision No. 101/2007/QD-UBND dated September 6, 2007 and Decision No. 08/2015/QD-UBND dated January 22, 2015 of the Provincial People's Committee.
In the coming time, the Provincial People's Committee will direct the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to continue to coordinate with the Department of Planning and Investment, districts, cities, towns and related agencies to advise on continuing to implement projects according to the Law on Public Investment.
