Mr. Dung and Mr. Tuyen are in stable health but their faces still show fatigue and confusion after the unexpected accident.
Mr. Dinh Trong Dung recounted that the fishing boat had just left port 4 days ago and had caught about 6 tons of fish. At that time, the crew members on the boat were sleeping after a tiring night of work when suddenly they heard a loud bang. All the crew members fell into the sea, and because no one was wearing life jackets, everyone quickly sank. "I only remember that the cargo ship rescued me and 8 other crew members. The incident happened so quickly that no one remembers how they were rescued," Mr. Dung said.

SAR 411 also brought the body of Nguyen Van Hoa (born in 1981) ashore and handed it over to his family. Afterwards, Hoa's family quickly took the victim to Quynh Luu for burial.
Some of Mr. Hoa's relatives said that after the fishing boat sank, Mr. Hoa was rescued. But when he woke up, he could not find his son, Nguyen Van Phong (born 2002), so Mr. Hoa jumped into the sea to look for his son and died. Mr. Hoa's body was found shortly after.
