Nghe An puts 14,660 hectares of agricultural land into large-scale field production

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of June 22, under the chairmanship of comrade P.Vice PresidentProvincial People's Committee Dinh Viet Hong,The Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to listen to and give opinions on the draft decision.pApproved plan to build large fieldsNghe An province for the period 2016 - 2025. Attending the meeting were representatives of a number of relevant departments and branches.

Overview of the working session

Nghe An builds and develops large fields with the aim of quickly shifting agriculture to concentrated, large-scale commodity production, increasing productivity, quality, efficiency and competitiveness of products; effectively linking production with product consumption, meeting domestic and export diversification needs, and increasing people's income.

Mr. Nguyen Van Lap, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, presented some main contents in the Plan for building the CĐL.

According to the province's plan, by 2020 Nghe An will have nearly 7,000 hectares of land participating inbig field, production value increased 1.2 times compared to outside productionbig field, production costs will decrease by 10% and income will increase by 10-15%. There will be 50% of products produced according to VietGap standards, 70% of production output according toLarge fields are invested in by businesses and their products are purchased.

By 2025, the whole province will put 14,660 hectares of agricultural land into large fields, 80% of the production area will follow VietGap standards, 90% of the output will be invested and consumed by enterprises. Rice, peanuts, corn, tea, sugarcane, oranges and vegetables are the crops that will be put into production on large fields.

Representatives of the Department of Finance commented on some contents on policy mechanisms.

After listening to the opinions of relevant departments and branches, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Viet Hong requested: The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development shall preside over and coordinate with relevant departments and localities to continue to develop appropriate policies and mechanisms, and at the same time have specific plans, focusing on buildingbig fieldassociated with the strengths of each locality, there are solutions to attract businesses to participate in building large fields.

Building CĐLs will facilitate the introduction of mechanization into the fields.

Receive comments from the sectors to complete the plan, add some contents such as: Necessary reasons for developing the plan, evaluate the production situation of large-scale fields in the province in recent years. Advise on the document to report to the Provincial People's Committee to submit to add to the agenda of the Provincial People's Council Resolution at the end of 2016 session.
