Nghe An ranks 17th in the country in tax collection exceeding estimates.
(Baonghean.vn) - In 2019, in the context of many economic difficulties, the tax sector nationwide made many efforts to excellently complete assigned tasks.
On the morning of January 13, in Hanoi, the General Department of Taxation (Ministry of Finance) held a national online conference to summarize the work in 2019 and deploy tasks in 2020. Comrade Dinh Tien Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Finance and leaders of the General Department of Taxation chaired the conference at the Hanoi bridge.

In 2019, despite many economic difficulties, the Tax sector nationwide made great efforts to successfully complete its assigned tasks. Tax management achieved positive results. In 2019, the total budget revenue managed by the tax authority was VND 1,276,219 billion, up 109.3% compared to the estimate, up 11.2% over the same period in 2018; the central budget portion reached VND 573,518 billion, equal to 101.2% of the estimate, up 11.8% over the same period.

One of the outstanding results in 2019 of the Tax sector was to reorganize and merge the apparatus towards regional tax branches, promote tax administrative reform; actively collect taxes and recover outstanding debts, thus successfully completing the budget collection plan.
In Nghe An, in 2019, the tax sector resolutely implemented a plan to reorganize the apparatus, merging 21 district, city and town tax branches down to 10 regional tax branches, reducing 39 tax teams; the Provincial Tax Department reduced from 13 departments to 12 departments; continued to promote tax administrative reform, apply information technology and record electronic invoices.
In 2019, Nghe An's total domestic revenue reached 14,693 billion VND, an increase of 18% over the same period. Nghe An ranked 17th among localities with tax revenue exceeding the estimate assigned by the Central Government.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Dinh Tien Dung - Minister of Finance acknowledged the results and efforts of the Tax sector in 2019. Agreeing with the proposals and assessments of the Tax sector, the Minister of Finance emphasized a number of contents for the sector to direct, such as: building a mechanism to generate tax revenue, preventing revenue erosion; resolutely implementing tax tasks from the beginning of the year; strengthening review and having solutions to prevent tax losses and tax arrears.
The Minister of Finance hopes that the tax sector will promote its achievements and strive to exceed 5% of the budget collection task assigned by the Prime Minister in 2020; continue to have synchronous and creative solutions to successfully complete the state budget collection task, enhance transparency and prevent tax losses, and ensure fairness for taxpayers./.
