The reason for the high price of salt is the unfavorable weather conditions in recent months, which have been detrimental to the livelihoods of local people.Salt farmers produce salt. This has led to a shortage in the market, while demand remains high. Currently, the cooperative's salt warehouses are completely empty.

"The cooperative's salt field is arguably the largest in the district, covering 113 hectares. For many months now, salt prices here have reached record highs, but salt farmers have no salt to sell, which is a real shame. Meanwhile, the number of households participating in salt production in the locality accounts for about half of the total number of households in the entire commune," Mr. Bui Xuan Dien shared.

DistrictQuynh LuuQuynh Luu is the locality with the largest salt production area in Nghe An province. Mr. Bui Xuan Truc, Deputy Head of the District's Agriculture Department, added that the locality currently has 600 hectares of salt production in coastal communes.
