Nghe An: Salt prices at record high, salt farmers have no products to sell

According to salt farmers in Quynh Nghia and An Hoa communes... (Quynh Luu), salt prices have been high for many months now, but unfortunately people do not have much salt to sell.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Manh, owner of a salt field in Tan Thang hamlet, An Hoa commune, said that the price of salt has been high since the end of last year until now. From 1,200 - 1,500 VND/kg, then gradually increased, salt farmers are very excited. The current price of salt is 3,000 VND/kg but the weather is not sunny enough to work.

The reason for the high price of salt is because the weather in recent months has not been favorable for people.salt farmers produce salt, causing a shortage in the market, while demand is high. Currently, the cooperative's salt warehouses are out of stock.
"The cooperative's salt field can be said to be the largest in the district, with 113 hectares. In recent months, the price of salt here has increased to a record high, but salt farmers have no salt to sell, everyone feels sorry. Meanwhile, the number of households participating in salt production in the locality accounts for about half of the total number of households in the commune," Mr. Bui Xuan Dien shared.
DistrictQuynh Luuis the locality with the largest salt production area in Nghe An. Mr. Bui Xuan Truc - Deputy Head of the District Agriculture Department added that the locality currently has 600 hectares of salt production in coastal communes. Since the beginning of the year, Quynh Luu's salt output is estimated at only about 2 thousand tons, while the market demand is large.
