Nghe An: Reduced land rent for businesses in the Southeast Economic Zone
(Baonghean.vn) - The Management Board of Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone has just issued Document No. 1393/KKT-TNMT on guiding enterprises leasing land in Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone on procedures for reducing land rent in 2021.
Implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee in Document No. 7313/UBND-KT dated October 1, 2021 on the implementation of Decision No. 27/2021/QD-TTg dated September 25, 2021 of the Prime Minister on reducing land rent in 2021 for subjects affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, the Management BoardSoutheast Nghe An Economic Zonehas just issued Document No. 1393/KKT-TNMT on guiding enterprises leasing land in the Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone on procedures for reducing land rent in 2021.

Accordingly, enterprises whose land is leased by the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board or subleased from Nghe An Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Development Company in the form of annual land lease payments will be subject to a 30% reduction in land rent in 2021 with a total remaining amount payable in 2021.(after deducting other prescribed reductions and excluding land rent debts or late payments of years prior to 2021).
In Decision No. 27/2021/QD-TTg dated September 25, 2021 of the Prime Minister, it is stipulated that land lessees are responsible before the law for the truthfulness and accuracy of the information and their request for land rent reduction, ensuring that the correct subjects are eligible for the reduction.
Enterprises submit application documents for land rent reduction (by electronic or other means) to the Management Board of Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone.(Address: No. 09, Lenin Avenue, Hung Phuc Ward, Vinh City, Nghe An Province)From the effective date of this decision until December 31, 2021, in case of submitting application from January 1, 2022 onwards, land rent will not be reduced according to the provisions of this decision.
It can be said that this is a timely decision of the Government on land incentives to share difficulties with businesses in the context of being heavily impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Southeast Economic Zone was established by the Prime Minister under Decision No. 85/2007/QD-TTg dated June 11, 2007; Total area of 18,826.47 hectares, in 18 communes and wards: Nghi Hop, Nghi Xa, Nghi Long, Nghi Thuan, Nghi Dong, Nghi Hung, Nghi Quang, Nghi Thiet, Nghi Tien, Nghi Yen (10 communes of Nghi Loc district); Dien Trung, Dien Thinh, Dien An, Dien Loc, Dien Tho, Dien Phu (6 communes of Dien Chau district); Nghi Tan and Nghi Thuy wards (2 wards of Cua Lo town).
In 2014, the Southeast Economic Zone was adjusted by the Prime Minister, adding the boundaries of Hoang Mai Industrial Park and Dong Hoi Industrial Park (1,200 hectares) according to Decision No. 67/2014/QD-TTg dated December 4, 2014.
In 2015, the Southeast Economic Zone was adjusted by the Prime Minister, adding the boundary of VSIP Nghe An Industrial, Urban and Service Park (750 ha) according to Decision No. 10/2015/QD-TTg April 3, 2015. After adjustment, the total area of Southeast Economic Zone increased to 20,776.47 ha.
In 2022, Nghe An will officially expand the Southeast Economic Zone boundary to the West along the N5 road connecting Hoa Son - Do Luong, the N2 road connecting National Highway 7A, the National Highway 48D connecting Hoang Mai town with Nghia Dan district, National Highway 1A (section avoiding Vinh city) and the coastal area to develop seaports and resort tourism. At the same time, submit to the Prime Minister to change the name to Nghe An Economic Zone.
