This is one of the important activities to realize Directive No. 33 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on strengthening the Party's leadership in connecting labor supply and demand, attracting labor for enterprises in the period of 2025 - 2030.

High demand for labor

According to the report of the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board, there are currently 318 valid projects in the Economic Zone, including 223 domestic projects and 95 FDI projects, creating jobs for more than 45,000 workers. For 3 consecutive years, Nghe An has always been in the Top 10 localities attractingFDIlargest in the country, creating hundreds of thousands of jobs for workers.

However, the rapid growth of enterprises has posed a great challenge in terms of labor resources, especially high-quality labor in the fields of electronics, manufacturing, and semiconductors.

VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park is one of 6 industrial parks developed by experienced and prestigious infrastructure investors in the world in Nghe An with an occupancy rate of over 97%. Only 34 out of 51 projects in operation in this industrial park have created jobs for more than 22,000 workers.

However, many businesses still lack human resources. Woosin Vina Company (Korea) has more than 1,200 workers, but still needs 300 more workers to meet production needs. An Nam Matsuoka Garment Company (Japan) has 2,600 workers but still lacks workers for production lines, and is expected to need to recruit more than 2,000 workers in 2025 with an income of 7.5 - 10 million VND/month...

According to Mr. Le Tien Tri - Head of the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board, it is forecasted that in 2025, enterprises in the economic zone will need to recruit more than 150,000 workers, while the province's employment plan will only reach about 50,000 people. According to a survey by the Nghe An Provincial Employment Service Center, in January 2025, enterprises in the province will need to recruit more than 17,000 jobs.

Currently, enterprises such as Foxconn, Luxshare, Goertek, Everwin, Juteng and Sunny are expected to create more than 86,000 jobs in the near future. Luxshare ICT Group's projects alone will need 25,000 workers by 2025. Mr. Tran Luong - Head of Recruitment Department of Luxshare ICT Co., Ltd. said: "In addition to general workers, we also need many high-quality human resources in sectors such as electromechanical automation, information technology engineering, electronics, information, Chinese, English".

Job Fair - connecting labor supply and demand

Nghe An currently has about 700,000 workers working outside the province and about 80,000 workers working abroad. The scarcity of labor, especially skilled and highly qualified labor, will become a barrier for businesses wishing to invest long-term in the province. To solve the labor problem for businesses, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee has just issuedDirective No. 33on connecting labor supply and demand in the period 2025 - 2030.

Accordingly, it is required that Party committees, Party organizations, authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations strengthen communication, mobilization and promotion to attract workers working and studying in provinces and cities across the country (both Nghe An workers and workers from other provinces) to work in Nghe An. Organize a review and grasp of the number of workers in each commune, ward, town; district, city, town, the number of workers working outside the province to conduct information, connect labor supply and demand. Focus on improving the quality and effectiveness of vocational training to meet the requirements of the labor market. Diversify forms of consultation, connect labor supply and demand, expand the forms of "fairs", "job fairs", "job exchanges" with the wide participation of businesses, organizations and workers to connect labor supply and demand effectively...

Pursuant to Directive No. 33,Southeast Economic Zone Management Boardhas issued Plan No. 02/KH-KKT on organizing Job Fairs to connect and recruit workers for businesses in the economic zone and industrial parks of Nghe An in 2025. Accordingly, in 2025, there will be 3 job fairs held in important industrial parks, namely VSIP, WHA and Hoang Mai 1. Of which, the first Job Fair in 2025 will be held on February 8, 2025 at VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park, with the participation of about 20 businesses, expected to recruit 36,000 unskilled workers and 4,000 trained workers. This is an important bridge to help workers access accurate recruitment information, as well as help businesses find suitable workers.

Although Job Fairs promise to bring positive results in recruiting workers for businesses, to completely solve the problem of attracting workers, there needs to be strategic and long-term solutions. First of all, businesses need to focus on investing in the working environment, improving working conditions and strengthening welfare policies. Building a healthy corporate culture, encouraging creativity and development will help attract and retain workers.
On the part of local authorities, it is necessary to promote vocational training and job orientation for workers. Training programs should be flexibly designed to suit the actual needs of the labor market, especially in the fields of high technology, industrial production and services.
