Nghe An: Mobilizing over 19,000 passenger transport vehicles during Tet

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 29, the Department of Transport coordinated with Nghe An Police to deploy passenger transport during the 2017 Tet and festival season. Attending were representatives of the Provincial Police Department of Road and Railway Traffic Police, Vinh City Police, and passenger transport units in the area.

Based on the actual situation of passenger transport in the area during Tet and festivals, the functional forces plan to coordinate and implement solutions in a synchronous manner.

The goal is to serve people's travel needs well during Tet, ensuring order, safety and civilization in passenger transport business activities. The authorities will strengthen control over strict compliance with road traffic laws, regulations of the Government, Ministry of Transport and Provincial People's Committee on transport business activities.

Nghe An Transport Department plans to mobilize over 19,000 vehicles to serve people during Tet and festivals in 2017.

During the process of providing passenger transport services, passenger transport businesses and units must sign a commitment to implement measures to ensure traffic order and safety.

The authorities will set up a hotline to receive and process information from passengers; regularly maintain a reporting regime to promptly correct any shortcomings in the implementation of the plan, contributing to ensuring that people can safely trade and travel to enjoy Tet and welcome the Spring of Dinh Dau 2017.

At the same time, closely coordinate with functional forces to strictly handle violations of businesses in passenger transport.

At the conference, the functional forces agreed to strengthen patrolling, control, and strictly handle cases of passenger transport enterprises violating the regulations on carrying more passengers than the prescribed number, ensuring the quality of transport on all routes; ensuring the correct routes and itineraries in a civilized and polite manner.
