Nghe An: Opening of a booth introducing clean products of cooperatives

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 8, at the Provincial Cooperative Union, the Nghe An Safe Agricultural and Food Production and Consumption Cooperative Union held a launching ceremony and inaugurated the booth displaying and introducing Xanh Mart Vinh products.

Speaking at the launching ceremony and opening of the booth displaying and introducing Xanh Mart products, comrade Le Phuc An - Chairman of the Provincial Cooperative Union affirmed: The establishment of the Nghe An Cooperative Union for production and consumption of safe agricultural and food products is a turning point, demonstrating the need to link cooperatives from production to consumption.

Promoting the formation and implementation of cooperative unions and new-style cooperatives is an important fundamental factor in the breakthrough restructuring of agriculture, improving agricultural competitiveness and increasing sustainable income for farmers.

Attending and speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, said: The establishment of the Nghe An Safe Agricultural Products and Food Production and Consumption Cooperative Union is a contribution to the development of local agriculture. The activities of the Cooperative Union aim to create jobs, increase income for members, and create clean and safe agricultural products for consumers. This is the premise for building more production chains, minimizing the situation of agricultural products being produced without quality supervision as well as minimizing the situation of good harvest but low prices, bringing many benefits to producers and consumers.

The Nghe An Union of Cooperatives for Production and Consumption of Safe Agricultural Products and Food currently includes the following cooperatives: Nam Xuan Xanh - Nam Dan Cooperative; Nam Son - Quynh Luu Agricultural Cooperative, Thanh Van - Thanh Chuong Agricultural Cooperative; Xuan Phu - Quy Hop Orange Cooperative... are cooperatives organized and operating under the 2012 Law on Cooperatives. These are cooperatives that do well in providing input services to support production for members, and together promote the strengths of each unit, forming a chain from production to consumption.
