Nghe An: 4 cases solved through security camera footage

(Baonghean.vn) - From the extraction from security cameras, Hong Son Ward Police - Vinh City(Nghe An)Investigate and clarify 4 cases of property theft that occurred at the City General Hospital (2 cases) and Vinh market (2 cases).

Every day, about 20,000 people from all over the country come to trade and do business in Hong Son Ward (Vinh City). The ward has 22 roads, 38 alleys and many other key projects such as Vinh Market and the City General Hospital.

Implementing the plans of the superiors as well as the resolutions and plans of the Ward People's Committee on the work of building a movement for the whole people to protect national security, Hong Son Ward determined the key task to focus on in 2017, which is to build a community camera system.

All images captured by security cameras will be transmitted to the processing center of the Ward Police 24 hours a day. In case any signs related to security and order are detected, the police force will immediately check and handle the case. Photo: Canh Nam.

With the support of the people, Hong Son Ward conducted a survey of installation locations, internet connection locations and power sources for cameras. Up to now, from the budget of 300 million VND and from socialized sources along with self-installation by agencies and units, the whole ward has installed 661 security cameras.

Of which, 100% of sensitive locations regarding security and order (Vinh market, gold and silver shops...) in the area have been installed for very good images.

In the coming time, Hong Son Ward will continue to direct the installation of security cameras and strive to complete all roads and alleys in the area by the end of December.
