(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing the plan to welcome citizens affected by the Covid-19 epidemic in the South back to their hometowns, localities in Nghe An province have urgently prepared facilities to ensure quarantine for citizens upon their return within the prescribed time.

Since July 20, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has issued Plan No. 396 onwelcoming citizens affected by Covid-19 epidemicfrom Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces and cities who urgently need to return to Nghe An. To implement this plan, all localities in the province have quickly developed plans and set up accommodation facilities to meet the quarantine needs of the people.

Present at Nghi Trung commune (Nghi Loc), we were led by Mr. Nguyen Duc Chuong - Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee to see the quarantine location at the commune's kindergarten. Mr. Chuong said: Recently, in the commune, there were also 6 citizens returning from epidemic areas who were quarantined, not to mention 50 cases that were also quarantined at home due toVinh wholesale market.

Regarding the commune's citizens living and working in the South, after checking, there are about 150-200 people, however, the number of people who need to return to their hometown is only about 30-40 people, because many cases have families in the South, bringing the whole family back to their hometown is very difficult. Currently, the commune has worked with schools located in the area to arrange and requisition classrooms as quarantine locations. For now, the commune will use the kindergarten, with 15 rooms, which can accommodate 60 people. If the number increases, other locations can be used.

In Nghi Loc district, to preparewelcome citizens back to their hometown, this locality has arranged 305 quarantine rooms in 29 communes and towns to meet the needs of 1,226 people. Ms. Tran Thi Anh Tuyet - Vice Chairman of Nghi Loc District People's Committee said: Implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, Nghi Loc District People's Committee has issued a specific plan to welcome Nghi Loc district citizens affected by the Covid-19 epidemic from the South. In the immediate future, the district has built centralized quarantine locations. After having a specific schedule from the Provincial People's Committee, the district will announce the schedule for welcoming, organizing transportation, and specific quarantine based on the number of registered citizens.

According to Ms. Tuyet, the district has assigned departments, branches, organizations and local authorities to coordinate in the spirit of ensuring maximum safety. If anyone is found to be infected with Covid-19, they will be immediately admitted and treated.

According to the plan of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, the subjects arranged to return to their hometowns are the elderly, children, pregnant women, freelance workers, unemployed people, people stranded due to visiting relatives, work, students, etc.

When citizens return to Nghe An, they will be quarantined at concentrated quarantine areas of Nghe An province under the responsibility of the Provincial Military Command; centralized quarantine is managed by the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns. Those in need will be quarantined at paid service quarantine areas, which are hotels and accommodation facilities that ensure safety conditions for epidemic prevention and control as publicly announced by the Department of Tourism.

Mr. Nguyen Van Chien - Vice Chairman of Thanh Chuong District People's Committee said: According to information collected through the province's website for registration to return to their hometown, the whole district has 938 people, but in reality, only 325 cases have been registered through the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs. Currently, the district has developed a plan to be ready to welcome citizens to quarantine in localities with 86 quarantine areas arranged in 38 communes and towns. In addition, there is also 1 quarantine point arranged by the district to accommodate 100 people who are F1 and high-risk cases.

According to the plan, all citizens returning from Ho Chi Minh City and southern provinces and cities will be quarantined for 14 days at local quarantine areas or at paid quarantine facilities upon registration. After 14 days, citizens will be required to continue quarantine at home for 7 days.

However, one thing worth noting now is that in addition to waiting for the official announcement of the official schedule from the Provincial People's Committee, according to localities, the quarantine arrangement at schools can basically only be carried out once (14 days), because, according to the plan, by mid-August, localities must complete the quarantine and conduct spraying and disinfection to return the facilities to the schools to prepare for the new school year. This is also something that needs to be noted when organizing the return of people from the southern provinces, because if delayed, the requisition of schools as quarantine points will have to be extended, affecting the new school year of the schools.

As of July 26, the entire province had nearly 10,000 people registering to return home via the website http://dangkyveque.nghean.gov.vn. Of which, nearly 4,000 were from Ho Chi Minh City; nearly 3,000 were from Binh Duong province; nearly 1,000 were from Da Nang city; and the rest were from other localities.
