(Baonghean.vn) - For those who have been to Da Nang City and other localities with community cases within the past 21 days, if they have symptoms of fever, cough, difficulty breathing or suspected symptoms of Covid-19 infection, they must be transferred immediately to a medical facility.

On the afternoon of May 15, Nghe An Department of Health issued an urgent document on screening, managing, and testing people who have been to/returned from localities with recorded cases of community Covid-19 infection.

According to the Department of Health, the current Covid-19 epidemic situation continues to be very complicated, the case in Dien Bien province discovered on May 14 has not yet determined the source of infection. Cases of the disease have been recorded after returning from Da Nang and provinces with community cases continue to spread, forming complicated outbreaks in some localities...

To ensure safety in preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic in the province, Nghe An Department of Health requested the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of districts, cities, towns and related units to urgently review and make a list of people who have come to/returned from localities that have recorded Covid-19 infections in the community nationwide from May 1, 2021 to present; organize epidemiological investigations, classify subjects, organize quarantine measures, and take samples for testing according to current regulations.

For those who have been to Da Nang City and other localities with community cases within the past 21 days, if they have symptoms of fever, cough, difficulty breathing or suspected symptoms of Covid-19 infection, they must be immediately transferred to a medical facility for isolation, testing, and timely treatment.

The Department of Health also requested the Health Centers of districts, cities and towns to advise the District Steering Committee to immediately deploy tracing teams and self-management teams in the community to seriously review, verify information, make lists, organize medical declarations, and conduct epidemiological investigations immediately after receiving information related to cases returning from epidemic areas. Absolutely do not be subjective or negligent in the face of any developments of the epidemic. The list of cases returning from epidemic areas who are being quarantined and monitored for health must be sent to the Department of Health through the Provincial Center for Disease Control before 3:00 p.m. every day.
