Nghe An inaugurated the first 3 iron-hulled fishing boats in the country built according to Decree 17
(Baonghean.vn) - These are fishing boats with a capacity of over 1,330 CV, total cost of each boat is nearly 24 billion VND, equipped with very modern equipment.
On the afternoon of October 18, at Quynh Lap fishing port, the People's Committee of Quynh Lap commune and ship owners held an inauguration ceremony for the first three iron-hulled ships in the country built according to Decree 17.The three fishing boats handed over this time are NA 98828 TS of Mr. Le Hoi Hung; NA 98829 TS of Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa; NA 98699 TS of Mr. Nguyen Van Muoi.
These are fishing vessels with a capacity of over 1,330 CV, total cost of nearly 24 billion VND per vessel, equipped with very modern equipment. When fully fueled, the vessels can fish offshore for about 1 month and reduce 2-3 workers compared to normal fishing vessels.
The inauguration of 3 ships has increased the total number of large capacity offshore fishing vessels of Quynh Lap commune to 147. The average seafood exploitation output of the commune reached 35,000 tons/year.

Decree No. 17/2018/ND-CP of the Government amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 67/2014/ND-CP dated July 7, 2014 of the Government on a number of policies on fisheries development.
According to Decree 17, ship owners and owners of offshore fishing vessels or offshore fishing logistics service vessels with a total main engine capacity of 800 CV or more will enjoy a one-time support policy. Based on this Decree, 3 fishing vessels of Hoang Mai Town will be supported with 35% of the investment value for new construction but not exceeding 8 billion VND/vessel.
Currently, Hoang Mai town has 5 ships approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, of which 3 ships have been completed and 2 ships are completing paperwork.
