(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 19, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a conference to review the state management of beliefs and religions in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of the year in the province.

Comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the conference. The situation of beliefs and religions is basically stable.

In the first 6 months of the year, religious activities took place normally, complying with the law, performing purely spiritual rituals according to local customs, practices, and cultural traditions. Most religious establishments strictly followed regulations on disease prevention and control.Covid-19 epidemic, limit the organization of festivals with large crowds, only organize small-scale ceremonies and spiritual activities.

Religious activities are basically stable, pure, and in compliance with the law, in accordance with the Charter and Statutes of religious organizations. The implementation of administrative procedures and basic religious needs are carried out by religious organizations in accordance with the law. In key religious areas, there are no major complicated incidents affecting security and order...

However, the situation of beliefs and religions still has notable issues, and there are still activities that take advantage of beliefs and religions to oppose the government. Some opposing elements take advantage of loopholes, difficulties, and obstacles in performing the tasks of the grassroots to distort and slander the regime; distort the Party's policies and guidelines, and the State's laws.

Illegal activities related to land and construction continue to occur in many forms such as encroachment on agricultural land; illegal conversion of land use purposes...

It is forecasted that the religious situation in the last 6 months of the year will continue to be stable, with the activities of major religions in Nghe An mainly following a pure trend, complying with the law, and cooperating with the government. However, the demand for religious activities is increasing, illegal proselytizing activities are increasing, posing a potential risk to security, order and social safety.

Therefore, relevant departments, branches and localities continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the Party's viewpoints and policies and the State's laws; synchronously and diversely deploy measures and forms.propagate; pay attention to directing, guiding, and urging timely resolution of legitimate needs of religious organizations in accordance with the provisions of law.

At the same time, it is necessary to do a good job of grasping the situation early, implementing the statistical and reporting regime, especially at the commune and district levels to promptly detect violations; strengthen the work of enlisting religious dignitaries and officials to make them understand and orient them to comply with the law in religious activities; resolutely fight against and handle sabotage activities and violations of the law...
