Nghe An does not hold groundbreaking ceremony for overpass, donates money to support flood victims
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An Department of Transport decided to allocate all funds from the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Project to invest in the construction of an overpass at the intersection of Provincial Road 534 with the North-South Railway, National Highway 1 and connecting with Vinh City bypass to support flood victims in Hung Nguyen district.
On the afternoon of October 25, a working delegation from the Nghe An Department of Transport and the Quang Ngai Department of Transport came to present gifts to people affected by floods in Hung Nguyen district.
The delegation included comrades Nguyen Hong Ky - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of Nghe An Department of Transport, and Pham Ngoc Thuy, Deputy Director of Quang Ngai Department of Transport.

The delegation directly presented 220 million VND (including 120 million VND from Nghe An Department of Transport and 100 million VND from Quang Ngai Department of Transport) to people affected by the October 2016 flood in Hung Nguyen district.

Of which, Hung Trung Kindergarten was supported with 100 million VND, Hung Nhan Kindergarten and Hung Khanh Kindergarten each with 50 million VND and 20 households affected by floods in Hung My and Hung Khanh communes each received 1 million VND.

This is a project using the remaining government bond capital from the projects to renovate and upgrade National Highway 1 and Ho Chi Minh Road through the Central Highlands region according to Resolution No. 99/2015 dated November 11, 2015 of the National Assembly. The starting point is at KM4+100 of Provincial Road 534 in Nghi Trung Commune, Nghi Loc District. The end point is at the intersection between Provincial Road 534 and Vinh City bypass in Quan Hanh Town, Nghi Loc District, Nghe An Province. The project has a total investment of 258,377 million VND.
On October 2, the Ministry of Transport issued document 12350, requesting investors and project management boards to urgently implement the Government's direction on saving and fighting waste, and the Ministry of Transport's policy of encouraging investors, project management boards and contractors to use the cost savings from the project commencement to support flood victims in the Central region affected by the October 2016 floods. |
