Nghe An expands cooperation with Japanese enterprises
After 4 working days, the delegation of Nghe An province led by comrade Bui Thanh An - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just successfully concluded its visit and working trip to Japan.
Expanding cooperation with Japan
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Thanh An emphasized that the purpose of this working trip to Japan is to expand cooperation with Japanese organizations and investors; introduce the investment environment, mechanisms and preferential policies that Nghe An province currently has so that investors can come to research, survey and invest in the province.
In addition, the business trip is an opportunity to meet and work with businesses that have invested in Nghe An; organize investment connections with businesses that are investing in industrial park infrastructure such as VSIP, WHA, Hoang Thinh Dat.

During the visit, in Tokyo, the delegation had a working session at the ASEAN-Japan Center (AJC). The AJC is an intergovernmental organization established by ASEAN member countries and Japan in 1981. The Center is tasked with promoting exports from ASEAN member countries to Japan, as well as promoting investment and tourism; Human resource exchange between ASEAN member countries and Japan through conferences, seminars, capacity building programs, research and policy analysis, cultural diplomacy events, publishing and information services, and many other activities.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed many issues of cooperation and investment. Nghe An proposed a number of areas in which the province wishes to cooperate with AJC, including calling for investment attraction, trade promotion, technical assistance, digital transformation and human resource training, exploiting tourism potential and strengths, connecting and exchanging tourism between Nghe An and Japan.
In particular, Nghe An province hopes that AJC will support it in connecting with Japanese enterprises to attract investment in the province's strengths such as processing and manufacturing industries, high-tech agriculture and eco-tourism. Through the meeting, the Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee also expressed his hope that AJC will support the province in participating in EXPO 2025 organized by the International Exhibition Bureau in Osaka (Japan).
With that proposal, the AJC Center also committed to supporting Nghe An province through the connection of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan to connect Japanese enterprises to invest in Nghe An province, focusing on areas such as processing, manufacturing, high-tech agriculture... and activities proposed by Nghe An province.
Following the series of activities, in Tokyo (Japan), the People's Committee of Nghe An province coordinated with the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan, the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and the ASEAN-Japan Center (AJC) to organize the Conference on Investment Promotion of Japanese Enterprises in Nghe An Province in 2024. Attending the conference were Mr. Nguyen Duc Minh - Representative of the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan; Kunihiko Hirabayashi - Secretary General of AJC, and more than 50 Japanese corporations, enterprises and investors interested in the investment environment of Nghe An province.
The Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee affirmed that Nghe An is gradually becoming one of the most attractive investment destinations in Vietnam, with an open investment environment, increasingly complete infrastructure, abundant, high-quality human resources and attractive investment incentive policies.
Nghe An is changing strongly,With many large-scale projects in fields such as processing and manufacturing industry, high-tech agriculture, renewable energy and tourism, Nghe An is becoming a "fertile land" for Japanese investors looking for long-term and sustainable business opportunities.

The groups of questions and issues of concern to Japanese enterprises were answered satisfactorily and specifically by the leaders of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee and infrastructure investors.
The 2024 Conference on Promoting Japanese Enterprises' Investment in Nghe An Province, organized by the Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion, was a great success, opening a new chapter in the cooperative relationship between Nghe An and Japan. This is not only an opportunity for Nghe An Province to promote its potential, advantages and investment policies, but also the beginning of specific cooperation projects, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of Nghe An in the coming time.
Promoting investment in smart, environmentally friendly projects
Following the success of the Investment Promotion Conference in Japan, the delegation and infrastructure investors had meetings and worked with Toho Gas Corporation and Kobelco Eco-Solution Corporation in Tokyo and Kyoto.
Enterprises in Japan have strengths suitable for the fields that Nghe An province is calling for investment: industry, construction consulting, electronic components, smart equipment, environmental treatment, wastewater, clean water.

At the meetings, Nghe An province was interested in the possibility of cooperation in building and developing smart industrial parks and green industrial parks, and at the same time interested in cooperating in deploying advanced environmental treatment technologies, in order to protect valuable resources and minimize negative impacts on the environment. Nghe An province's leaders emphasized that Nghe An's consistent viewpoint is to always accompany and support investors from the time of research and survey, implementation of procedures until the project operates stably.
The corporations expressed their willingness to cooperate with Nghe An province in implementing environmental projects, contributing to building a green, clean and sustainable ecosystem. At the same time, Nghe An province hopes that Japanese corporations will mobilize support from organizations and banks in Japan to sponsor aid capital and preferential loans to invest in the fields of environmental treatment, wastewater, clean water for sustainable development...
Nghe An province's business trip to Japan from September 20-24 ended successfully, opening up many new cooperation prospects between the province and leading Japanese corporations and enterprises.
The results achieved during this working trip not only affirm the position and potential of Nghe An in the eyes of international investors, but also demonstrate the province's determination in promoting economic cooperation, technology transfer and sustainable development, while contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of Nghe An in the direction of modernity, environmental friendliness and international integration. This is also an important step forward, contributing to strengthening the friendly and cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Japan, towards the common goal of sustainable development and prosperity for both sides.
