Thus, as of September 26, there were 191 communes in 18 districts, towns and cities where the epidemic had not passed 30 days. The most affected localities were: Quynh Luu with 17 communes, Do Luong with 27 communes, Thanh Chuong with 13 communes, Nghi Loc with 12 communes, Dien Chau with 27 communes, Hung Nguyen with 13 communes, Yen Thanh with 37 communes, Vinh City with 9 communes, Tuong Duong with 7 communes...
The total number of pigs in Nghe An that had to be destroyed due to African swine fever as of September 26 was 39,001, with a total weight of 1,690,995 kg.
The reason for the recent outbreak is that the virus is latent in many residential areas. On the other hand, the recent floods caused waterlogging in some localities, giving the disease the opportunity to spread widely. Meanwhile, in many communes with epidemic hotspots, local authorities have not been able to effectively prevent and control the disease, especially the slaughter and control of pigs moving in and out of epidemic areas.
