Nghe An: Woman narrowly escapes death thanks to folk remedy
(Baonghean.vn) - A woman and her husband had an argument. In a fit of anger, Ms. L. picked and ate poison ivy. Luckily, the border medical force saved her life with a folk remedy.
On the morning of October 12, Tri Le Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard) announced: The unit's medical force had just coordinated with local medical staff to successfully rescue and save the life of a woman who had eaten poison ivy and attempted suicide.
At around 9:30 p.m. on October 11, receiving a report of a case of suicide by eating poison ivy, in a very critical condition. The Command of Tri Le Border Post sent Captain Doctor Le Anh Duc and Captain Doctor Tran Dang Do - the unit's military medics to urgently coordinate with the medics of Tri Le Commune Health Station, Que Phong District to save the person who committed suicide by eating poison ivy.
The victim was Ms. Moong Thi L (born in 1997), Kho Mu ethnic group, from Nam Nhoong commune, married and lived in Chieng village, Tri Le commune, Que Phong district.

According to family members, the cause was determined to be a marital conflict. Before eating the poison leaves, Ms. L drank alcohol. The couple had an argument, so Ms. L was upset and ate the poison leaves to commit suicide.
In the dark night, doctors and nurses from Tri Le Border Guard Station and the Commune Health Station urgently treated the victim. After many hours of intensive emergency care and resuscitation until early morning on October 12, the patient was no longer cyanotic, had less difficulty breathing, was out of danger, and could talk. Currently, the patient's health is recovering and progressing well.
It is known that since the beginning of the year, Tri Le Border Post's military doctors have coordinated to save the lives of 8 victims who committed suicide by eating poison ivy using folk remedies.
Medicine used to treat victims of eating poison ivy:
To save the life of a person who ate poison ivy, it must be done within 1-3 hours. An effective remedy is: Use a crushed banana stem, combine with pennywort (washed with banana stem water), crush and squeeze the juice, mix with banana stem water, then drop 2-3 live frogs into the banana juice - pennywort mixture for about 1 minute, then remove the frogs, give the patient to drink to stimulate vomiting, remove toxins in the stomach.
Along with removing toxins in the stomach by natural methods, combined with injections of antibiotics, heart and strength drugs.
