Nghe An: Risk of Covid-19 spreading from repatriates passing through the area
(Baonghean.vn) - Currently, the number of citizens returning to their hometowns from southern provinces and cities, passing through Nghe An, has increased dramatically. The risk of spreading the Covid-19 epidemic is very high if there is no strict management and control.

To support people returning from southern provinces and cities to their hometowns, and at the same time do a good job in preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic, Nghe An province has established a working group to welcome citizens from southern provinces and cities back to their localities; organize the reception of citizens.Nghe An, depending on the subject, organize appropriate quarantine. The province supports food and testing costs at a minimum level for citizens in centralized quarantine.

Up to this point, the process of welcoming Nghe An citizens back to quarantine has generally ensured the requirements for Covid-19 prevention and control. However, the management and assurance of epidemic prevention for the areas where other citizens pass through are not really safe.

It is worth mentioning that the contact of service providers with citizens returning from epidemic areas has not ensured epidemic prevention safety... Equally worrying is the fact that citizens from other provinces passing through the area do not follow a fixed route. At noon on October 7, many groups of citizens left National Highway 1A, went to National Highway 48 and then followed Ho Chi Minh Road to continue to the northern provinces.
