Nghe An strives to exceed budget revenue target in 2020
(Baonghean.vn) - "In 2020, the tax sector needs to focus and closely follow socio-economic targets to exceed the state budget revenue target..." was emphasized by comrade Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee at the conference to summarize tax work in 2019 and deploy tasks and solutions for 2020 organized by Nghe An Tax Department on the morning of January 17.

At the end of 2019, for the first time, Nghe An tax sector rose to the top 20 provinces with revenue exceeding the central budget estimate and was the first year that tax debt decreased compared to the previous year, at the same time, it had the lowest ratio of tax debt to total state budget revenue.
In 2019, the total revenue of Nghe An Tax Department reached 14,693 billion VND, reaching 135% of the central budget estimate and 125% of the provincial People's Council's estimate, an increase of 18% compared to 2018. If excluding land use fees, the total revenue of the Tax Department was 10,667 billion VND, reaching 114% of the central budget estimate and 113% of the provincial People's Council's estimate.
However, in addition to the taxes that exceeded the estimate, there were 3 revenue items that did not meet the estimate: revenue from central state-owned enterprises, revenue from foreign-invested enterprises, and lottery revenue.

At the conference, along with reviewing the positive results achieved in 2019, representatives of departments and the Tax Department also focused on discussing and clarifying the causes of existing problems and limitations to better perform tasks in 2020.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the efforts of the tax sector, thereby contributing to the province's completion of the budget revenue target. Although the 2019 target assigned by the Provincial People's Council was quite high, the sector overcame difficulties and made efforts to exceed the assigned target.
In addition to the above positive results, based on the analysis of revenue structure, the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee also frankly pointed out some shortcomings and limitations when revenue is not really stable, revenue still depends on resources, real estate land, 3 revenue items are not achieved...

At the same time, create conditions to remove difficulties for businesses to nurture and exploit long-term revenue sources for the province; focus on removing and supporting foreign businesses.
On this occasion, a number of collectives and individuals of the tax sector were awarded the Labor Medal, the title of Emulation Fighter of the whole sector and Certificates of Merit by the President, the Ministry of Finance and the Provincial People's Committee for their contributions to the sector and outstanding achievements in the emulation movement in 2019.
