Nghe An discovered 165 drivers violating alcohol concentration and drug use
(Baonghean.vn) - In the first 17 days of the campaign to crack down on crime and ensure traffic safety during the New Year, Lunar New Year and spring festivals in 2022, Nghe An Provincial Traffic Police discovered 165 cases of drivers violating alcohol concentration and drug use.
The peak period of crime suppression and traffic safety assurance during the New Year, Lunar New Year and Spring festivals in 2022 will be deployed from December 15, 2021 to February 14, 2022.
Accordingly, from December 15 to December 31, 2021, the Traffic Police force of Nghe An Provincial Police organized 455 patrols and controls, with 2,025 officers participating, thereby detecting and recording 1,726 cases of administrative violations of traffic safety and order.

Of which, 1,082 were car drivers, 644 were motorbike drivers. Accordingly, 44 cars and 21 motorbikes were detained. Decisions were made to fine 1,941 cases, transfer the fine to the State Treasury for collection of VND 2,796,270,000; 231 cases were temporarily revoked of driving licenses.
