Nghe An develops transport infrastructure connecting key economic zones

Many economic zones are connected

Regarding roads, the routes connecting the economic zone of Vinh city - Cua Lo town - the Southeast districts of the province with the Southern Nghe - Bac Ha region (economic zone 1) with the Western Nghe An region, focusing on the Tan Ky - Do Luong - Nghia Dan - Thai Hoa - Quy Hop region (economic zone 3): have completed 4/5 projects. A typical example is the traffic route connecting N5 road - Southeast Economic Zone to Hoa Son (Do Luong), 28.5 km long, with a total investment of 1,266 billion VND. After this route was put into operation (in 2016), it became an important traffic axis.

This is a vital traffic route, creating a driving force for socio-economic development, contributing to improving cargo capacity, serving the need to transport raw materials and products from industrial parks and factories in the western districts of Nghe An province to the delta districts.

The routes connecting the Hoang Mai - Quynh Luu economic zone with the Nam Thanh - Bac Nghe region (economic zone 2) and the Western Nghe An region, the key areas of the region are the Tan Ky - Do Luong - Nghia Dan - Thai Hoa - Quy Hop areas, have completed 4/5 projects, including the road connecting National Highway 46 with the Lam River road (Vinh city) with a route length of about 8.25 km, total investment of 452 billion VND, has been completed and put into operation and use.

In addition, 3 railway overpasses, intersections and bridges across rivers were completed: Yen Xuan Bridge, North-South railway overpass at the intersection of National Highway 1 - National Highway 48E and the North-South railway intersection with D4 Road of the Southeast Economic Zone... Currently, relevant agencies are completing procedures to prepare for investment in 11 projects, with a total investment of about 30,715 billion VND.

Currently, the Transport sector is continuing to construct 9 projects, including a number of important routes such as: Vinh - Cua Lo connecting road; Vinh - Hung Tay road; Ben Thuy 3 bridge across Lam river (Cua Hoi bridge)... At the same time, building district roads, industrial park roads, economic zone roads connecting with national highways, provincial roads with industrial parks and industrial clusters.

Continue to complete key projects

In recent times, although the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee have promptly issued mechanisms and policies; closely directed and resolved difficulties and obstacles; created favorable conditions in the process of implementing programs and projects in the project; the Politburo issued Resolution No. 26/NQ-TW dated July 30, 2013 on the direction and tasks for developing Nghe An province until 2020, the central ministries and branches agreed and created conditions in attracting and mobilizing resources to invest in the construction of traffic works in the area, however, many projects lack capital, are delayed, and construction is suspended...

However, the implementation of the project to develop complete transport infrastructure and form a transport network connecting key economic zones of Nghe An province in the 2016-2020 period has achieved many important results.

According to the Department of Transport, after more than 3 years of implementation (from 2016 to 2019), about 7,538 billion VND has been mobilized out of a total investment of 8,625 billion VND to complete 21 projects; 09 projects are under construction, with a total investment of about 5,158 billion VND. Currently, relevant agencies are completing procedures to prepare for investment in 11 projects, with a total investment of about 30,715 billion VND.

Many key and important projects have been completed and put into operation, creating momentum and making important contributions to the socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security of the province.
