Nghe An issues urgent dispatch directing continued implementation of Directive 16

Previously, on the afternoon of April 15, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc chaired a meeting of the Government Standing Committee on Covid-19 prevention and control, including a review of the implementation of Directive 16 and the issuance of new policies.

The Prime Minister agreed to classify provinces and cities into 3 groups: High-risk group, risk group and low-risk group. These groups are not fixed. The next meeting will review these groups for appropriate adjustments.

Of which, Nghe An, along with 14 other localities including: Binh Duong, Can Tho, Dong Nai, Ha Nam, Hai Phong, Kien Giang, Nam Dinh, Thai Nguyen, Thua Thien - Hue, Soc Trang, Lang Son, An Giang, Binh Phuoc, Dong Thap, are in the risk group.

Accordingly, the Prime Minister directed localities in the risk group to combine and implement Directive 15 and Directive 16 well until April 22. The next decision will be made on April 22 depending on the epidemic situation.

On the same evening, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued urgent dispatch No. 2278/UBND-VX on continuing to seriously implement Directive No. 16/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister.

Accordingly, while waiting for the announcement of the conclusion of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at the Government Standing Committee meeting on Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control on the afternoon of April 15, 2020, the Provincial People's Committee requests the Heads of provincial departments, branches, sectors, and mass organizations, Chairmen of People's Committees of districts, cities, and towns, according to their assigned functions and tasks, to focus on directing:

Continue to extend the implementation period of urgent measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic in the province according to Directive 16/CT-TTg dated March 31, 2020 of the Prime Minister and documents issued by the Provincial People's Committee on measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic until a new announcement by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
