Nghe An is urgently looking for people who have been to the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases
(Baonghean.vn) - According to the list provided by the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, there are at least 65 patients from Nghe An (not including their relatives) who have visited the hospital from April 14 to now. Currently, the health authorities are urgently searching for them.
On the afternoon of May 6, a source from the Center for Disease Control (CDC Nghe An) said that regarding the outbreak at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, the unit is urgently searching for all patients, patients' relatives and people who came to the hospital from April 14 to May 4 to take samples and quarantine according to regulations. CDC Nghe An also recommends that people immediately contact the nearest medical facility for health monitoring and medical support.

According to the list announced by the Hospital for Tropical Diseases, during this period, 65 patients from Nghe An came to the hospital for treatment. However, the hospital did not know the number of relatives who accompanied them.
According to information from the Hanoi Center for Disease Control, as of 12:00 on May 6, the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases recorded 42 positive cases, of which 22 cases were announced yesterday afternoon and this morning, and 20 cases have not been announced.
Of these 42 cases, also according to the Hanoi CDC, 33 cases reside in 14 provinces and cities: Yen Bai, Vinh Phuc, Thai Binh, Son La, Quang Ninh, Phu Tho, Nam Dinh, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Hoa Binh, Hung Yen, Lang Son. 9 cases reside in Hanoi, in 5 districts, towns and cities: Dong Anh, Soc Son, Nam Tu Liem, Son Tay and Ba Dinh.
These are positive cases tested by the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases and the Hanoi CDC, not including cases tested by localities this morning.
At least 4 provinces and cities have recorded positive cases related to the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, who were patients or relatives who took care of patients during their treatment at this hospital. Of these, Hanoi recorded 2 cases and a doctor at Military Hospital 105, Hung Yen 2, Bac Ninh 9, Thai Binh 5. These cases have not been recorded by the Ministry of Health and are considered suspected infections.
The cluster of infections at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases was discovered after a doctor from the hospital tested positive for nCoV on May 4 on a business trip abroad. Initially, the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases determined that this was a cluster of Covid-19 cases due to infection in the inpatient treatment area at the Kim Chung facility. The hospital was quarantined from May 5 to May 19.
The National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Branch 2 in Dong Anh, is under medical quarantine until May 19 and has stopped receiving patients except for Covid-19 patients. The Ministry of Health has directed the hospital to review and conduct screening tests for all medical staff, students, patients, and relatives of patients currently at the hospital.
Nghe An CDC also said that currently, the whole province has 40 F1 cases of Covid-19 patients and about 500 F2 cases have been traced. The F1 cases are scattered in many districts and have been in close contact with many different cases.
"There are cases of F1 of patients in Dong Nai, cases of F1 of patients in Ha Nam and Vinh Phuc... The number of F1 and F2 in Nghe An is increasing every hour. We are urgently conducting tracing, in order to isolate and collect samples as soon as possible," the source added./.
