(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 11, during a working trip to Nghe An, Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Pham Thi Hai Chuyen had a working session with the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs. Also attending was comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

At the meeting, Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Nghe An province Nguyen Bang Toan reported on some of the main results of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Nghe An in 2015. Accordingly, the whole province has created jobs for nearly 38 thousand workers, of which nearly 13 thousand workers were exported; vocational training enrollment reached more than 75,700 workers, reaching 100.15% of the plan; the poverty rate decreased from 10.28% at the end of 2014 to 7.5%; activities to resolve policies, care for policy beneficiaries, social protection beneficiaries, child protection and care... were ensured.

The Minister noted that in 2016, the Nghe An Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs needs to step up coordination with authorities at all levels to propagate and mobilize illegal workers residing in Korea after their labor contracts expire to return home; strengthen management of labor brokerage costs for the Taiwanese market; step up the review of poor households according to multidimensional criteria; rearrange district-level vocational training centers according to the Law on Vocational Education, review facilities and equipment at vocational training facilities to have appropriate investment mechanisms...

Regarding the proposal of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Nghe An province on allocating capital to implement the following projects: Martyrs' Church at the Vietnam - Laos International Cemetery, expanding Nghi Loc District Cemetery (to gather the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts in Laos), and upgrading the Center for nursing mental health of war invalids, Minister Pham Thi Hai Chuyen requested relevant Departments of the Ministry to consider and allocate capital in 2016 so that the projects can be put into use soon, contributing to better implementation of the province's policy for meritorious people./.
