Nghe An will set off fireworks at two locations on New Year's Eve to celebrate the Spring of the Pig 2019.

Based on the socio-economic development situation associated with ensuring national defense and security and the needs of the people in the province, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Plan No. 06/KH-UBND dated January 5, 2019 and Decision No. 141/QD-UBND-NC dated January 16, 2019 of the People's Committee of the province on organizing fireworks to celebrate the New Year of the Pig 2019.

At the conference, delegates discussed and agreed: Organizing fireworks to welcome the Spring of the Pig 2019 is a cultural activity of important significance, aiming to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere in the New Year's Eve to welcome the New Year of the Pig 2019. Thereby, it aims to encourage the spirit of cadres and people of the province to promote the achievements gained in 2018, continue to compete to achieve achievements in labor production, contributing to the excellent completion of socio-economic development, national defense and security targets in 2019.

As planned, the Provincial People's Committee will organize 2 fireworks display locations in Vinh City (including the Central Park and the 72m road in Nghi Phu commune) on the eve of the Spring of the Pig 2019 (February 4, 2019, December 30, 2018). All funding for fireworks will be mobilized from socialized sources.

Concluding the conference, comrade Le Minh Thong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: "To successfully organize the task of fireworks display on New Year's Eve to welcome the Spring of the Pig 2019, the Provincial Military Command (central agency) is required to closely coordinate with the forces, carefully prepare in all aspects, ensure the safety of people, weapons and technical equipment, and ensure the safety of the environment and landscape of the fireworks display area.

The provincial police mobilized forces to ensure security and order, ensure traffic safety and fire prevention and fighting before, during and after the fireworks display. Coordinated with Vinh Airport to ensure aviation safety for airport activities during the fireworks display. The Department of Culture and Sports focused on building a special art program to serve the people on New Year's Eve. Nghe An Newspaper and the provincial Television Station organized the announcement of the time, location and live broadcast of the fireworks display to serve the people..."./.
