(Baonghean.vn) - At the ceremony to encourage and reward the fire prevention and fighting force, the leader of Nghe An Provincial Police affirmed that they will examine the scene to determine and clarify the cause of the fire for strict handling according to the provisions of the law.
On the morning of June 30, Nghe An Provincial Police held an award ceremony for the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department - Nghe An Provincial Police for their outstanding achievements in actively participating in forest fire fighting in recent times.

During the peak of the heat wave in June 2020 alone, there were 57 fires in Nghe An province, including 34 forest and vegetation fires. In particular, from June 26, 2020 to June 29, 2020, there were 3 consecutive forest fires from Yen Thanh district to Dien Chau district with high fire intensity, very dangerous and difficult for fire fighting forces.
The Fire Police Force mobilized more than 200 vehicles, along with 1,500 officers and soldiers to coordinate with other forces to fight the forest fire for a long time, day and night, in hot weather conditions and dense toxic smoke.

Up to now, the fires have been controlled and prevented from spreading to residential areas near the forest.

Regarding the recent serious forest fires, the provincial police leadership has directed the Investigation Police Agency to conduct a crime scene investigation to determine and clarify the cause of the fire in order to take measures to handle the case in accordance with the law.
On this occasion, the provincial police leaders decided to reward 10 individuals of the Fire Police, and awarded the Fire Police force 50 million VND.
