(Baonghean.vn) - The leaders of the Provincial People's Committee requested units and localities to flexibly and synchronously implement measures to protect, care for and nurture orphans in general and orphans affected by the Covid-19 epidemic in particular, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.

Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has just issued a document on the implementation of Directive No. 36/CTTTg on strengthening solutions to protect and care for children affected by the Covid-19 epidemic to provincial departments, branches, sectors and units; People's Committees of districts, cities and towns.

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee requests provincial departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of districts, cities and towns to thoroughly grasp and seriously and effectively implement Directive No. 36/CT-TTg dated December 31, 2021 of the Prime Minister at agencies, units and localities to ensure both effective prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic and the protection and care of children according to regulations.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to preside over and regularly coordinate with relevant departments, branches, sectors, units and People's Committees of districts, cities and towns to direct the flexible and synchronous implementation of measures to protect, care for and nurture orphans in general and orphans affected by the Covid-19 epidemic in particular, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.

Strengthen communication, advocacy, mobilization, and guidance for organizations, individuals, and businesses to support resources for the care and nurturing of orphans and children affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in accordance with the law.

According to Directive No. 36/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister, the Covid-19 epidemic affects social life, especially the comprehensive physical, intellectual, mental development and social relationships of children. Many pregnant women and children are infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, many children are orphaned, in special circumstances, have no place to rely on, lack of care from parents, family, affecting the lives and learning of children.

To overcome the immediate and long-term consequences of the Covid-19 epidemic on children with the view of best protection, minimizing negative impacts on children, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to preside over and coordinate with ministries and branches to propose policies and solutions to care for, protect and nurture orphans in general and orphans affected by the Covid-19 epidemic in particular, ensuring compliance with legal regulations; focusing on children being cared for by relatives. Develop a program to overcome the limitations and impacts of the Covid-19 epidemic on children such as mental health care, social psychology, and care for orphans to ensure the comprehensive development of children; strengthen the child protection service system, mental health care services, social psychology for children; Strengthen communication to promote the role of society and communities in protecting and caring for children, especially children affected by the Covid-19 epidemic.

The Prime Minister also requested the People's Committees of provinces and cities to direct, guide and inspect the strict implementation of measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic for children in their localities; organize timely, safe and effective Covid-19 vaccination for children; organize treatment and care for children infected with Covid-19 and affected by the Covid-19 epidemic; provide alternative care for orphans in general and orphans affected by the Covid-19 epidemic in particular, ensuring that orphans receive the best care and nourishment both physically and mentally, with priority given to alternative care by relatives; inspect the implementation of the State's regime and policies for children affected by the Covid-19 epidemic...
